Description

Almost ready now. My latest character and to those who commented on my last post of Max. Thanks for the imput and the confirmation that she appeared to resemble who she was supposed too :) This picture is based on an actual photo of the real person and the hair is actually superimposed from that photo. The rest is pure Poser. Poser 7 firefly render to be precise. A little sharpening and minor postwork to add the background and water effects. Thanks for any comments and for viewing.

Hi Michael. Yes you are right. She is not an exact match. Have you ever made a face morph? It is not easy to make an exact match of a real person from 2 Dimensional photographs and if you have looked at pictures of this person then you will know that she can look extremely different in any number of pictures. This is my best approximation and considering you recognised her then I would say that my job is done. There are other versions of her in th market place and I would humbly say that mine is on a par with those if not slightly better, and until Fygomatic decides to release his models to the marketplace, well enough said :) If of course when you buy the model you can improve on the morph then I would be very interested to see it. :) No offense.

Too funny that you mentioned Fygomatic... the Jedi-morph master! Anyway, the character is beautiful. Wonderful render!

My earlier post: WHOOOOOOAAAAAAAA BABY!! This girl is HOT Scooby! I searched the Jessica Alba images on the internet until I found the image you got this hair from. Now, though I must say this lady of yours is very beautiful, she is still a bit off of the real thing, which is fine if you are not trying to make an exact match. But, if you ARE trying for an exact match, when you put your render beside the image of Jessica you will see the length of her (Max's) face is too short and her nose has too much of a ski-slope to it. Again, don't get me wrong I LOVE you pretty lady. I just wanted to give you some honest feedback in case you are trying for a precise copy. LOVE this image BTW. The pose is EXCELLENT and the water is SUPERB! What did you use for water? Looks great. My follow-up to Scooby's retort: My apologies Scooby. I meant no offense against your work. As I mentioned above I DO like your character morph. She is quite beautiful. I in fact HAVE tried to do a face morph of a known individual and it is indeed VERY difficult. That's why you'll not find one in my gallery if you look. Because I have not successfully done it. I have made no claim that I could do it better. I simply thought you were looking for honest opinions. My humble apologies.

Superb my friend, Superb. Yes, 3d is one tricky thing! Without a 3D scan, it's nigh near impossible to get it perfect. I say if you can do 3 slightly different angles with it looking like her, you've more than succeeded. Then there is a million and one options in a render as well. A camera angle from the top with 80mm could look spot on, while one profile with more lense distortion could make it look totally different. So, once again, Very impressive buddy!

She's a real beauty Trev, can't wait to sign her up! On the subject of accurately reproducing a character I'd say she's instantly recognisable and that's more than good enough for me. Look at photos of yourself, friends and family and I guarantee you'll find some that look more like them than others and these are photographs! If you also bear in mind the lack of post work to the V4 it's self here then I'd say she's a very good likeness. Of course an exact replica can land you in hot water. I believe that many moons ago there was a Paris Hilton character on sale which was so close to the real thing it got pulled, presumably after complaints from Paris or her agents. Can't believe anyone did anything with it that the real thing would find offensive, lol! Of course Paris may look like a Poser doll herself... On this render I'd say well done copying the pose, your poses always look so natural. You've also done a great job transplanting the hair. If only it was that easy for my bald head, lol! Love the water. Was it entirely postworked or based on a Poser water shader? She has a nice figure BTW is it a morph++ or hand carved?

To gibby.g Thankyou for you comments. The water is a photoshop plugun with a little bit of shading near her thighs and on the horizon. The morphs are "hand carved":) To everybody else thanks for you words of encouragement. Trev.
