Apparently when the US was colonized, the English saw the North America Robin (Turdus migratorius) and named it after the English Robin because of it's red breast. The North American Robin is a migratory songbird and belongs to the Thrush family. American Robins and English Robins are not closely related.
These guys are about 12 days old .. give or take a day or two. This was taken three years ago. Last year they nested between the downspout from the gutter and the house, and this year there is a nest directly under my kitchen window!
Thanks so much for the wonderful response to the last post on Bumblebees! Your comments are so much appreciated! thank you for the many faves as well.

Rita all I can say is this is easily one of the most adorable images I've ever seen. These little guys are so cute and this has to be one of your most treasured captures. Message me so I can give you a link Zoren shared with me of a camera in a owl's nest, you will love it.
