This photo is exactly what I had in my viewfinder at the time auntietk took her picture titled, "Strait of Juan de Fuca".
I am focusing beyond the sand dune at the northern end of Artillery Hill at Fort Worden, Washington. We didn't climb up there 10 days ago but plan to on our next camping extravaganza onto the Olympic Peninsula. LOL
Please ZOOM for far better detail.

Wonderful shot!
It looks a really attractive place.. I should be so tempted to paddle! Camera in hand of course!
Beautiful place, and very nicely framed and composed! Another good one, Bill
A wonderful zoom - does look like a place to explore - one day! I like the inclusion of the foreground, Clive
Beautiful image!!
OK... so you were getting a great POV for your shot!!! I like the teamwork! :))
wonderful shot!
bel endroit!!
Great view; bet the water is too cold to paddle, though. Sounds like you had a great time!
well done... and a great place too
Bringing in the sheaves, bringing in the sheaves. The neglected lawn in the foreground is in dire need of a giant lawnmower, or scythe, to trim it down. Otherwise, a splendidly composed capture of the hill, ocean and tall grass, Bill!
Beautiful AREA "Juan de Fuca's Plate" not far from the Juan de Fuca strait :)
A BG setting for a movie, looks a bit chilly as yet for a swim... classic image, BB
Looks like a lovely place to spend the day! Well seen and shot. : )
love the trace of yellow flowers on the left. cool shot
Great shot and it looks very inviting to go for a walk along this little track.
You have shown us this beautiful area. I've been there yet you are showing me what I missed. Gorgeous shot Bill. Dana
What a nice shot Bill, looks a lovely place to be stopped and camp at..
Lovely wild shot Bill.
Great capture! That was totally worth you climbing down there to take the shot. :P I love the texture of the sea grass. Nicely done!
Lovely Lovely capture. I love the beach grass. That is because i remember from my childhood how it was cutting my feet. :)
Great view.
A beautiful picture. I see also the broom. The high hill, the piece of wood, and depth here, are great!
Cool view... you've seen a lotta beautiful places this trip...
Have been to that fort back in the early 90's. I suspect you will enjoy taking it in next time.

I would be tempted for a paddle, beautiful area!!!!
