Description

(Zoom or you will miss detail!) This is dedicated to my friend Phil Wilkes (PhilW) as it is the first Carrara scene built almost 100% using the techniques in his fabulous tutorial. This was the first scene that I did not feel as if I were fighting Carrara to get what I wanted, and in a fraction of the usual time, an absolutely liberating feeling. This simple scene was a test bed for a number of things, but primarily his lighting techniques. I altered his basic lighting instructions only very slightly so I could bleed a bit more light into the shadows, especially the little gated area. I rather like how it turned out. Thanks Phil!

I just love the seemingly " easy " perfection. Getting lights and shadows just right is a b*tch to work on, but you pull it off GREAT.
