The holes you left behind the tears
Of the strongest man I knew
3rd grade you left home
Apprenticeship to learn a skill
How you missed your mama
The hills at night your eyes would wander
Only vacations you went home
Never really knew what love was
The hugs were afraid to touch
As the years grew up you lived
A life for you unfolded
