Description
Namibia 2010
My apologies for being sidetracked by the burglary and subsequent difficulty dealing with it which took me away from Renderosity for a whole week. I am trying to start normalizing things again. (Sleep would be great too... LOL...) A huge thank you to all of you who wrote me messages of encouragement either in comments, sitemail or email! I appreciate every thought and every prayer!
This is the next image in the Spitzkoppe series (shot in Namibia in Feb this year), just giving a view of the surrounding flat desert landscape! I just loved this view with the yellowing grass in the foreground!
Stay well!
Hugs
Carin xx

Beautiful shot!
.... excellent.
Glad to see you posting again Carin. I was worrying about you a little bit :). I still want to go there and all your lovely pics aren't helping !!! lol
Stunning landscape wonderfully captured!!!
How very lovely, this place! Oh, I can so good translate the African language, auntietk was writing to you, Carin. It's just like our language. In the past (as a very little child) I was singing for public the song: "Ek wil klappermelk met suiker". I don't know if you can remember this old S.A. song(?)
Oops, I missed this one...mighty fine composition. Sure is good to have you back:)
I like the slant in this picture...the way the composition goes from empty and flat on the left to nicely detailed and filled-in on the right, all with the grass in the foreground tying it all together. This is quite amazing, really, but that's not surprising; you've got an eye for this sort of thing, an instinctive feel for it and it really shows here. What colors too! WOW!
Some nice clouds would have topped this off well, but still some lovely light, a strong comp, and good array of colours :)
A fine shot, Carin, and great to hear you are recovering from this aweful shock
Very nice image. Great pov and view !!!! Well done, dear Carin :) Hugs Karin:)
Great scenery beautifully captured Carin!
