Description
Namibia 2010
My apologies for being sidetracked by the burglary and subsequent difficulty dealing with it which took me away from Renderosity for a whole week. I am trying to start normalizing things again. (Sleep would be great too... LOL...) A huge thank you to all of you who wrote me messages of encouragement either in comments, sitemail or email! I appreciate every thought and every prayer!
This is the next image in the Spitzkoppe series (shot in Namibia in Feb this year), just giving a view of the surrounding flat desert landscape! I just loved this view with the yellowing grass in the foreground!
Stay well!
Hugs
Carin xx

Another great image, Carin! I'm sure you didn't sleep well since that unfortunate attack... are they gonna calm down soon, or the things are getting worse?
So glad you feel well enough to post pics again. Such a dramatic place!
very beautiful landscape
A wonderful view, Carin, the colours of Africa. Love it, Clive
What a fabulous view, great in zoom. Must be so hard getting over someone breaking in. XXX
Wonderful fascinating foreground framing vast, open reaches of desert and sky. A great image!
Brilliant shot.
Carin, how nice to see you back again. I hope you are able to sleep well again. It must really have been a mega chock for you both. This is such a Superb capture. These colors are just fantastic.
superbe photo!!
Very beautiful image !
Looks very hot and dry there...and the sky is so BIG! Beautiful!
Stunning capture Carin.
Wonderful image. I've enjoy the entire series so far.
The grasses soften the look and make this seem such a wonderful place.
I too love the wispy grass.
GREAT IMAGE.. AND I HOPE YOU'LL FEEL BETTER IN A VERY SHORT TIME!
Fantastic photo! Glad that things are starting to go back to normal for you two.
Sterling clarity, color, light/shadow and texture inherent in the massive rocks of the Spitzkoppe, contrasted against the clear, light blue sky, Carin. So happy you're back after that harrowing experience; looking forward to more of your stellar pics, and your always welcome comments on my postings, which I've really missed by their absence. I'd like you to check out my "Hold that tiger #2" offering when you're able.
Really an impressive scene!!
Glad to hear that things are moving along for you. This is a beautiful shot!
What a welcome return for me to see one of your wonderful shots. I too have been away(for a couple of weeks or so). My attention had to be on my husband, who had bypass surgery a little over 2 weeks ago. All is well now, and I'm so happy to be back. This is a great capture. Your composition is perfect. Lovely image.
Love these contrasting colors. Splendid series!!!
The balance is wonderful. It has all layers of landscape and a view that is breathtaking.
What a vast difference going from right to left. Beautiful capture and DOF. You know that we are all pulling for you. Dana
Ag Dierbaar ... Dis goed om jou te sien! Ek mis jou, skat. Ek sal beskikbaar wees hierdie naweek indien jy is. Liefde baie ... :X What a wonderful composition! I agree with you about the grass ... it lends a different texture to the landscape and provides a great conrast. Nicely done!
In the U.S. state of Montana they would call this 'Big Sky Country'. Looks very peaceful. Wonderful image and nice balance between the rocks and the sky. I hope you are feeling better every day.
What a slendid view!
Beautiful landscape.
welcome back Carin.. I'm sure it is most difficult sleeping.. :-( It will come.. Picture though? Wonderful of course.. I love this view, just like the others.. A beautiful place.. Rob
Wonderful landscape! I like the composition mixing the tranquil sky and the uneven ground and the location of these contrasted components almost along a diagonal.
