Description
When I was up along the Skagit River in mid January with a couple of friends (non-RR folks), we stopped at a roadside park. There was a cabin on display, along with this dugout canoe.
There was no label, nothing to say who built the canoe or how old it was. You'll have to use your imagination.

I'm sitting here and staring and still can't quite figure out how I feel about this. A very curious image. Trying to decide what's in the background. Then there is the piece of metal, a nail and the wood. It has a lot of visual interest which speaks to your talents but I never would have guessed it was a canoe if you hadn't said so. Very well done.

Could use as a quiz... Dugouts ought to be very old but the piece of metal and relatively modern, but rusting bolt would possibly puzzle even the best forenzic detectives:) On a visual note, texture, light and colors all have a very strong appeal for me. Smiling at Rob's comment above...he'd just like to see a little more and have the stats please...how many machineguns and what's the bomb load please? I know him very well:-)))

Oh, at first I thought you meant tfhe dugout at a baseball park. Splendid focus and textures in this cool capture. That part of the canoe resembles the hip or thigh bone of a dinosaur.

I love this piece! When I looked at the thumbnail I knew it was one of yours! Mostly because of the color! You're really good at that greenish/bluish dream-color and well, zooming in shows a lot more details; it's hypnotic and mysterious too. I wonder who built it? How old is it? What's the story behind the corrosion? Did heroes and heroines declare undying love for one another while rowing in it? Or was it just put there as a kind of mysterious folly? Who knows? Great details and I have to say that I'm really digging that bit of rust!
