Even though they were meant to kill, they are still beautiful objects! We have had a glorious day, for once!
I agree with Andrea - despite being meant to kill, they are gorgeous! I see someone removed one in front! Was that you???? Hehehe... If you don't have time to comment - then don't - rather get a good rest! :)
Fantastic textures and details. Excellent shot!
Beautiful Helle...the colours and the textures.I love stones in its own a lot! And be well:)
I'm sure it was not eazy at the time to make them. Wonderful textures and great capture!
Good photo with a beautifil history page.
I thought they were eunuchs!!! Lol. Very good shot.
Oh my, I would want to be in the way of one of those...lol...
beautiful, love the colors and lighting excellent work
Great shot of thes old cannon balls, thanks for sharing Helle
Great shot!
I wouldn't have liked to have been hit with one of these as they look pretty heavy. Excellent capture.
What were the steel cables for?
For the record I would like to say that not all cannonballs were used for battle. Often these were used as ballast in the vessel. Seems to be different cast material in the couple left of frame. Different weathering I guess?? An interesting image
Very interesting shot of these old war relics
bonne photo!!
WOW! Maybe it's just my crazy brain but these almost look edible. Aside from that, this is a really intriguing photograph. I like the rough textures of the objects themselves and I can imagine the damage they'd do as they hit their targets. Beautiful image.
Cool!
Beautiful surfaces and textures. Wonderful!
Right up my alley...being a history buff and retired from the army, you know these sort of relics always get my attention. These wouldn't have flown very straight, but I wouldn't have wanted to be standing in front of one...ouch!
Flip I bet they packed a punch!!!!
