Description
There's a certain bench at the Arboretum. It's near a place where gravel path intersects with calm backwater, where herons stand just beyond the reach of a good lens.
Kids and dogs love to play there, ducks congregate and sit in a row on a half-submerged log. People walk, stroll, jog along the path, some oblivious to the beautiful surroundings, some nodding and smiling at their fellow pedestrians.
I wonder if they notice a middle-aged couple sitting close together on that bench in the cooling twilight, taking photographs of the sky? Perhaps a 20-something thinks, "Look at those old people ... who do they think they're kidding?"
The "old people" smile and snap off another shot.

WOW! What an image! I love the stark silhouettes and that passionate sky, those clouds look a wee bit sultry too. That's always a good thing! I love the colors, the soft sunset colors, the blues and the peachy salmon yellow hues and the overall mood is quite contemplative and still...wonderfully so! This is amazing work. As for "those old people" well...they're far cooler than most 20-somethings who aren't even human yet.
Fantastic capture! the young people don't realize it yet, but they will be there one day, if they survive their youth that is.

This is a wonderful photo. I love the play of the bare branches from small to large against the blue sky and drifting early evening clouds. And ah, yes. Show me the way to that bench. Nothing like sitting on a bench seeing what there is to see. And sharing it just makes it sweeter--this is really beautiful--is it also the heron tree?
But, they may be thinking how nice it is to see older people interested in the environment and their pursuits. The glass is half-full! I'd like to sit there a while too.

Age is not a condition of the flesh but a state of mind so I suspect that couple is younger than those 20-somethings. And look what they miss with their superior attitudes and busy lives. Beautiful capture.
