Description
The Pike Place Market in Seattle opened in 1907, and is one of the oldest continuously operating public markets in the United States.
There are ramps everywhere at the Market, leading you up and down and around ... it's an absolute warren of shops and attractions and booths selling all manner of amazing things.
Seattlites will recognise this ramp with the windows ... as you stand under the sign with the fish counter in front of you, this ramp goes down to the left, sort of behind Rachel the Pig.

Wonderful shot Tara, has that guy been there since 1907 as well ;^).
I love this, and especially with the gentleman walking down carrying his cup of coffee.
It seems as the angles of the wall up the ramp gave some inspiration to this shot - and in a way that is what defines the image - also you captured quite a character strolling toward you - he to gives meaning to the image - Came together well - congrate’s - also looks like very little post work if any - point for that too LOL - you have a real smoking Canon shot here !
Love the 'triangle ' pointing to the man and towards a light. Great, shall I say historic place.

I just adore that bloke! What a catch! This is a terrific shot, and the ramp seems quite steep, I should think that the namby-pamby kids that run our nanny state would have that condemned here in Blighty.
VERY cool shot and love it all:) I must visit the Pike Place Market and just probably move to Seattle as to me the best days are grey and cool. And rain is always a plus:)

For some reason the old boy coming down the ramp makes me think of an old sailor. I expected to hear him singing out with something like, "Yo, ho, ho and a bottle of rum, maties". The combination of angles draws me right in and must be what caught your eye in the first place(?). Like this a lot:)

WOW! What a beard! That was the first thing I noticed when I zoomed! This is definitely a zoomer too...not just for the beard (an impressive one!) but for all of the wonderful almost etched details in this. The light is stunning as are the colors. The vanishing perspective of the vaguely off centered lines are just astonishing. What a shot!
