Description
Look at this strange stump. Not often we see it this way. It is an old Elter that was surrounded of Ivy, One day it fell over and my nephew had to cut it down. He owns moms house now :)
It stood on the stone fence for over 35 years and my mother liked it as it was with Ivy and all. Maybe it thought, well now that the she is no more, I dont need to stay here either. ;-)
Thanks for viewing and kind comments to my previous post and special warm thanks go to those, who added it to their favorites. :)
I hope you are having a lovely sunday.
We have been busy all day, so first now I had better time to upload. Not much left in the upload folder though. Wether is grey and colder today.

Interesting capture. It still has so much life clinging to it even though its time is past. Your thought might be close to truth than we imagine.. who knows.
Very interesting when you look at it, it has so much going on for a stump. Of cause when I look at it, I see the shrooms that might be. :) Excellent capture!

Oh, yes Helle...that old stump must seem like an old acquaintence. A beautiful colored ring around the heart wood.
What a lovely pattern this stump makes, it reminds me of a fractal.
Excellent capture.
oh yes I know this view, Helle, yours had to go as it fell over from alone, at my motheres place they cut a wonderful cherrytree, which used to be the delight of my father, because "it made to much shadow", not to mention right those neighbors who cut it down have their canvas blinds coming out automatically whenever a first sunbeam hits their wintergarden...sight
This one gets a pair of compliments! I was talking to my sister and she directed me to this image, saying how much she liked it. Beautiful detail! Wonderful variety of textures, and shapes! Excellent shot!
