Description
Oh what a tangled web we weave,
When first we practice to deceive!
to mingle wealth amongst the thieves
or so the common'ers mass believe,
At first the task twas but a dream,
one hundred years ere past redeem
With more than mortal powers endow’d,
How high they soar’d above the crowd!
Theirs was no common party race,
Jostling by dark intrigue for place;
Alas! to whom the Almighty gave,
For America’s sins, an early grave!
Her worth, who, in her mightiest hour,
A bauble held the price of power,
Who, when the frantic crowd amain
Strain’d at subjection’s bursting rein,
A cowering glance they often cast,
As deeper moans the gathering blast.
Where’er her dwindling foes were found,
Was heard the fated thunder’s sound,
Till burst the bolt on her fine shore,
Roll’d, blazed, destroyed,-and was no more.
With apologies to Sir Walter Scott

nicely done
Very good work, Bob ! And Garth is right concerning a color award for you :-)))
I like the poetry and this lovely creation. As for the state of Congress, you don't wanna hear my opinion in a public place. Excellent work! (:
Beautiful!!!
Cool object!
Very lovely image (looks a lot better than Congress does and has more balls).

Very nice art work, I like that :-)
DEMOCRAT: A member of NO organized party .... REPUBLICAN: One who espouses against bad government, spends MILLIONS to get elected TO it, and once there, proceeds to PROVE their point .... WINK? .... INDEPENDENT-ly yours, TallPockets/brian. TERRIFIC concept, words and work!!
Whew... Amen!
