Description
In the aftermath of the storm, the city streets were covered in drifts of sand up to 3 metres deep, and the air began to fill with rescue craft scouring the area for survivors...
I'm finally digging myself out after being buried in work, hosting my outlaws from Scotland and recovering from my annual 110 km/70 mile cycle race around the Cape Town peninsula with 30,000 other loonies (including Lance Armstrong) in gale-force winds...
I'll never catch up with all the comments (my mailbox is so full that it's probably broken), but I will make a start this weekend.

Love the dark mood to this image,and the various craft and their lights are a nice touch...that dark sky really adds to the foreboding drama!
The dark light reflect a mood. Looking for survivors always uplifting also tense to make sure all been find alive.

Exquisitely done! I love the overall moody tone of this piece as well as the details you've added. The story is intriguing as well...I love little snippets of larger things. Fantastic work on all levels with great background information not related to the picture at all...it adds a nicely complimentary dimension.
