Description
Old weathered building in New York City? Well, not exactly. This is another building replica in the downstairs food court of the New York, New York Hotel in Las Vegas. I liked the detail of this building.
BTW, I only gambled $20 while there just to say I did it:) There is so much else to do (eat, site see, photography, shows, etc.) you don't have to throw your money around unless you just like doing that! And I know...a lot of us do:)

Their attention to detail is pretty amazing; just shows you what a lot of money can do! Makes a great capture.
BUT, did you win Bill!!!! Lovely night shot, its a lovely building!!!!
Fantastic capture! love the lighting
A really beautiful shot with nice stucco on the waals and a bigmac LOL !
Fab pic..It had me fooled! And well done on the gambling..I disagree PROFOUNDLY with the whole concept!
Very cool night shot!!
I should have mentioned...I took this photo at about 11:00 in the morning. It was bright and sunny outside the hotel:-)
Excellent night shot Bill! I agree, it could easily be old time NYC! Great work! :)
Thats pretty cool...looks quite interesting for sure...11 AM huh. Cool. lol
I am hearing a song about neon lights and Broadway in the air... Well done Bill! Clive
I remember visiting this hotel. Awesome place, we stayed right next door at the Monte Carlo, but went over to New York, NY for tacos a few times. Great photo Bill. :)
Nice shot,Bill. I'm taking a short trip to Vegas the week after next and was wondering about shooting in the casinos.
Great shot and very interesting design you are showing.
Excellent capture! Only in Vegas would the put an old building inside a new one. ;D LOL!
Nice experiment Bill and I love how it turned out...!!!!!
wonderful nightshot! RS
belle photo!!
superlative, creative image! it looks that Las Vegas is a goldmine for us photographers!
what a fascinating remake and a great shot for sure, Bill, have only been once in Las Vegas and it's along time ago, when I was sweet 17 and it was fascinating to me and I only played once too on a slot machine and won and took my money to buy a indian made necklace for souvenir... still have it
this is super. I was there and the man i went with gamble with 8 cents and won $36. Never went in side this place. look like I missed something . I be back lol
Man, what a cool capture! Actually, I did think it was a building in a questionable part of some town, and was going to kid you about 'what's a nice guy like you doing in a place like that?' But now that I know the facts, I won't. Aren't you glad? :-D (yes, I have a slightly warped sense of humor ;-P) I really do love this photo, though. You got the exposure right on, and there's lots of delicious detail in both the bright and dark areas. Awesome shot! So, you gambled 20 bucks, and won enough to actually get a room in that hotel, right? LOL!
fantastic!!
Capital POV used in this shot of what looks like an old depression era building on a fun, anything-goes street in Chicago or New York. And, all I do is eat, people-watch and gamble when I'm in Vegas. Otherwise, no shows, no lounging by the pool, no nothing. Ooops, almost forgot...I got married there once.
What a lovely lit photograph! A fantastic capture, with such great clarity and detail! Magnificent place... I wish I could take a stroll at this time of day! You certainly could of fooled me with the timing! The image is stellar!
Really wonderfully done!
For sure I don't gamble! Excellent night shot!
Great shot Bill, well done!!
Wow, great shot! Night shots are my weakness...this is great!
Wow, 11 am--NEVER would have guessed that!! Love the detail!!
Great night capture Bill. Your gambling habits are about like mine. I usually spend a couple of bucks when I go somewhere where I haven't been before, like spending $20 in Monte Carlo just so I could say I gambled there!
