Description
I have to give Randy (vaggabondd) credit for this one. He posted a poem today with a title that triggered this one. Thanks, my friend!!
he loves me
he loves me not
he loves me
those first
moments
holding tightly
breathing in
the essence
of each
other's body
and soul
the wonder
of it all
exploring
enjoying
exciting
inviting
not knowing
not caring
about
the world
outside
all too soon
it's over
and it's
back to
the real
world
then I know
he loves me not

Very nice, if melancholy, poem. Your words capture a feeling of lost love. Well done.
Beautiful words and oh so true!
Oh Yes! Superbly succinct.
I can SO relate! Excellent work my friend!
Beautiful poem!
Wonderfully succinct and it reminds me of something I read in a short little novel called Weetzie Bat which seems like a novel right up your alley...it's incredibly inventive and giddy. But anyway, one of the characters declared "Love is a dangerous angel," and this poem captures that perfectly. Love is so complicated and weird, and often doesn't exist when it should or when you'd really want it to. This captures that beautifully, especially in the end when the realization hits in that cold, sobering way. Wonderful!
real cool
Nice poem, well done!!
Oh dear.
Excellent writing ... this is VERY well done. When what's true in the moment is not true for all time, the result is such a let down. You've expressed the experience perfectly.
Nicely done Marilyn. I always envy your way with words.
wonderful work warm hugs, Linda
This is rather sad. It's always hard when your affections are not returned. Like Joan Baez once said, "Love is a pain in the ass!"
Boy can I relate to this! So well written Mariln! Just trying to say hi to you and a few others today, its been so long since I have seen everyones work and I am feeling somewhat starved:-) I hope you are doing well, I can see your work is!
Sometimes my friend it is sad but true. sometimes they love me not. this is brillant work as always :)
