Description
Namibia 2010
I was tempted to call this amazing sky #1 as I took so many sky pictures these past three weeks and will definitely post more in the weeks to come! Somehow there were just the most intriguing clouds in the sky almost every day.
This is still en route to our destination but already in Namibia between the towns of Usakos and Swakopmund - the start of the desert. I took this image while we were driving at 120km/h - this time through the side window... and was pleasantly surprized by the outcome.
Thank you for your comments and favs on my image of yesterday!
Stay well!
Hugs
Carin xx

Beautiful sky for sure! Very nice capture!:)
How very similar to our Sonora Desert this is! Add a few horridly spiny cacti and drop a few venomous snakes under them and you could mistake this for outside Phoenix. :-) The clouds do have such whimsy...they complement the harshness of the desert.
What a gorgeous sky, great image!!
Very beautiful capture! I can see all sorts of cloud creatures...
Lovely sky agains the arid landscape! Nice capture!

It's use the imagination time to go looking for things in the clouds...nice view...
Uber stellar shot, particularly of the elegant wispy clouds, highly contrasted against the lovely blue sky, that virtually jump out at the viewer, Carin!
Such a wonderful sky. I love the open feel to this shot. Seems like it goes on forever. You have a good eye. Great work!
Amazing view... I guess that sky belonged to a hot day....
Beautiful sky and windswept clouds. Interesting coincidence, I collect mineral specimens and I bought a piece of Beryl of the variety, Aquamarine, from Erongo Mountains, 20 km north of Usakos in Namibia. Dana
this reminds me I haven't been flying for a while. Skies like that are usually beautiful days to be in the air
