Description

The opening in the dense, tangled forest of cobra and fin trees wasn't big. One side bordered a rocky hillock with steep sides. Jo put the craft into hover mode, then began to slowly drop them toward the ground. Jo halted their descent, hovering at a height just above the highest Fin Trees. She carefully studied the ground beneath them. The woman on the ground was now running toward them waving her arms wildly. She halted, when they hovered, and ran back to her companion. "Smart gal," Jo murmured to herself. “Don't need to have her in my way.” The landing zone's footprint was only about four times larger than the courier craft. To make things worse, there were just enough trees randomly scattered across the meadow to squeeze the spot to really dicey proportions. "Gonna be tight, Bluey. Better call base with our coordinates--just in case." Bluey nodded and turned back to his station to make the call. It wasn't necessary to say more. "Here goes nothing," Jo said. Reaching for the controls, she committed them with a few quick adjustments. The Courier eased toward the ground. _________________________ Next time, the conclusion to the story. Will they splatter and scatter? Squish or miss? Read on to find out. Thanks for your support in stopping by and making comments. All are appreciated.

Nice image! What, no On-Star on the courier? Well, there's probably no satellites around the planet for GPS anyway.

Well I for one hope the rescue goes off without a hitch. Maybe not real life but real life is often depressing.

Just think, in a hundred years you may be hailed a mystic, when this story unfolds for real :) Great series and storyline. Not sure I'd want to go there but it's fun to suspend belief if only for a short time.Look forward to the conclusion...you can't beat a good fireball ;0
