Description
"What the...!" exclaimed Pilot-Sergeant Jo Geist.
She banked her courier plane sharply to the left, descending, and leveled heading back the way they had come.. Her navigator, Paul "Bluey" Curee, sent a questioning glance her way.
"Thought I saw a couple of our guys down there. Shouldn't be anybody in this area so they might be in trouble."
Bluey nodded. He turned back to his station and made some quick readjustments. "Crikey! Got 'em!" Bluey gave Jo a smile course correction. "We'll be right over them in thirty-seven seconds."
"See 'em!" Jo dropped their craft from a five-hundred meters to just under two-fifty, leveling out in an even tighter turn to circle the pair on the ground. "Man on the ground; woman waving madly."
Wouldn't you know? Just when I thought I'd never have the chance to do anything interesting on this mold spawn of a world. Jo started switching the fans from vertical flight to hover.

I hadn't planned on adding more to this story, but so many folks seemed to want more so I've gone ahead--which is fine because it proves good for Mark as my original concept was NOT a happy ending.
