Description
The entrance to the Mt. Moriah Cememtery. I'm on my way to see Wild Bill and Calamity Jane.
I took a lot of photos here, but not having a lot of experience with the camera, weather etc... not very many good shots. oh well, good memories though!
Thanks for looking! My previous upload, "DEADWOOD".
Have a great weekend!
Hugs,
~Melinda~

love the stone wall in this and how you captured the land slope with the wall
Beautiful photo.
AWESOME shot !!!
A cemetery on a slanted mountain side? What won't they think of next. Wild Bill was shot in the back by the coward, Jack McCall. Cool clarity, textures and contrasts in this capture, Melinda. And I think I would have to walk north and you south before we would meet along the railroad tracks.
Very nice!
I really like the stonework in this and I think it's the centerpiece of this image! It's so brilliant and well caught, nicely sharp too. It's definitely a great photo. The sign gets a bit lost with the tree and the greenery, but that's not a bad thing, it really does show better when zoomed, so that's one of those "don't look casually" elements that I like in photographs like this. This is like "Deadwood" in that the colors are so rich and vivid, and the trees are a wonderful counterbalance to it. In this, the green needles on the trees and the stonework follow similar lines and give a nice quasi-diagonal bit of excitement if you let your gaze roam and wander. Great work.
