Description
This is the downtown area of Pretoria in South Africa. It is a very hilly city (as is Johannesburg) and the Pretoria Zoo is built against one of these hills. We went up the hill in a cable car to then walk down through the zoo. Obviously this was taken from the top of the hill which gives wonderful views over the city.
Thank you for popping in and for your great support in comments and favs on my Fire upload of yesterday!
Stay well!

Excellent work, a wonderful presentation!!!
WOW! What a beautiful cityscape this is Carin. I love cityscapes. I love the geometric look of a city. In this shot I also love the wonderful green area in the foreground. Not to mention the gorgeous sky. In all you have captured this superbly.

Such a striking sky! A most interesting picture.
Your light on the city is just perfect - and the clouds spell RAIN!

Lovely work Carin delicate and yet detailed
great view ..the sky is wowwww!!
Sterling POV, DOF, clarity and contrast (especially in the cloud cover) in this stunner, Carin! If it wasn't for this fortuitous capture, I wouldn't have known that Pretoria has hi-rise buildings.
Apocalyptic sky, just stunning! Its nice to see a green belt so close to a downtown area.
A lovely capture and the sky looks so dramatic.
Awesome!
Outstanding capture Carin.
Oh WOW! WOW! Oooooh, this is one sweet picture! I love the POV you chose...it highlights the beauty of the city and all of that cloud drama happening up on top of it! The whole thing comes together so perfectly and so vividly! This is what a city should be like...well...at least what one should look like! And it looks so warm too! For some reason, this image reminds me of the smell of wisteria...with lilacs in the background. I don't know why but it does. This is great!
