Description
Walking through the redwoods is a magical experience. The silence is total, sometimes you don't hear even a bird. The redwood grove in town allows you to get away from the noise of people and cars and other miscellaneous sounds. As I walked through there the other day, I wanted to try and give you an idea of how big these trees really are. These are are babies, probably at least third growth (there is VERY little first growth left, but they are beyond spectacular!!). One way to get that perspective is to take a shot from the bottom up, so that's what I did!!
Oh yeah, this one--at least 100' high and relatively skinny!!

Oh my! I just fell over, lol! Well I would have had it been me taking the photo:-) Great shot Marilyn! I like the top tho, like a bad hair day!
I first thought I was gras on a stump...lol... before realising what you did and getting into it...smile
Very interesting perspective!
wonderful pov
Long Tall Sally...head in the kitchen...feet in the hall. LOL.
Lovely shot, very nice POV, well done!!
I wish there were more old growth redwoods around...oh there are some, but we've taken so much away from nature. Ah...but I've seen little bitty redwoods and they're deceptively small. THIS is a wonderful shot...it's a bit vertiginous. Ugh, did I just use that word? It fits though, because if you were up there looking down, you'd be looking a long way down and thinking about that makes me dizzy! This is a great piece of work. I like the light, it's almost dream-hazy, but not obscured. Again, more great work. But the funny thing is I still have haiku running through my mind from the post before this!
I like this POV! Great shot!
