Description

So I guess this is a milestone- my 100th posting here! And the first of the New Year as well. Happy New Year to all! This actually got started as I was working on an illustration job where I needed to use the MilHorse Western Saddle from Daz and I was pretty unhappy with the textures, so I decided to make my own. Then I thought well since I am going to that trouble I'll go farther and pull my textures into a product (coming soon here). Anyway I was thinking about what kind of images I might want to make using the tack and this fellow popped into my head. Also it gave me a chance to play with the new release of Bryce. I still like working with Bryce a lot- it is the 3D program that got me into doing all of this in the first place!:) So the usual notes: Mil Horse, Daz western saddle/bridle posed and morphed in Poser 7 and imported into Bryce. I used the Mahogany Bay from my Pro Pack at Daz for the horse and my new textures WIP for the saddle and bridle. Also the Daz Western Saloon and Western Bric-a-Brac products as well. This is an almost 100% pure Bryce render- I did do a little bit of postwork so the one rein would loop over the hitching post and some minor tonal adjustments in Photoshop, but otherwise it's the most straight render I've done in years:) You can see a lot more detail in the tack in the full size image.
