Description
This photo was taken last fall when the mountains were beginning to be draped in autumn color. Today much will be white with snow and high up likely hoar frost. I love to see that frost in the morning sunlight.

Lovely work Tom and nice foreground details and composition
And it's really cold there now. ;D This is a beautiful stream and you have captured it in a lovely light.
Beautiful shot :)
Darkness and light. Big smooth, eye-catching river rocks. A beautiful, balanced composition Tom.
I love how the rocks draw your eyes into the scene. Beautiful.
I'm the in between person. I like best the stream that is not frozen...that is not running free...but the stream the moves a just as vigorous but a bit more sluggish because it is not yet ice and not still water... This reminds me of that.
I've frolicked some in smokey Mountain stremas....sigh. I'd love to see the Smokies in snow also.
Excellent Image. :)) Thank you for sharing this beauty. I love to capture those same mountains with snow on them. Carry A Smile In Your Heart :))
Beautiful, Tom. My kind of place. Hugs. Diane. xx
very beautiful!!!1
Superb capture my friend.
wonderful shot !
I was looking through my files of autumn photos last night.. I am sure this same area is covered in a beautiful layer of snow this morning, I would love to get up there and get some winter shots. This is lovely.
super wonderful shot!!!!!
That's a very pretty shot. THe color is just starting to really add to the forest, the river looks lovely, that'd be a great place for a picnic! Nice photo.
Many thanks for the comment on my picture today. I must say i agree with the sentiments expressed in your biography, it is so nice to cross geographical boundaries and catch glimpses of life and landscape in countries other than your own, such as in your pictures of the Smokey mountains, an area whose music i enjoy and a part of the USA i would love to visit some day. Congratulations on your gallery, i will continue to visit.
Love this light stones, and also that color ( + stream) there behind. I guess, spring has beginning there already too(?)
