Description
What a sad New Year it will be,
As I sit all alone as the ball drops.
Everyone laughing around me,
Everyone smiling -
As I lay down an frown,
At the thought of another year alone.
Twelve more months of solitude,
365 days of tears with no shoulder,
That I could ever cry on, or even lean on.
Another year inside my hole, as I fall asleep -
Wishing of things that cannot be,
And hope that this madness may set me free.
New Years Eve and I'm in my pajamas,
Holding back the sorrow and the tears that stir,
As I sit and wait, hoping I'll get a call.
I'd even suffice for a text, just to end it all.
A HAPPY NEW YEAR from someone special
Is all that I sit and wait for,
But maybe that's too much to ask for someone like me,
So desperate and so eager to please,
When I never really got a whole lot in return.
Just the time to wait...so I can wait...and think...
And maybe even afterward, I can wait some more.
Wait for the realization that nothing is coming,
And nobody is thinking of me.
It's just another new year, of thoughts lacking me.

Hope this is not your mood. This can be a sad time as we expect the calendar to change and a new life to begin but in most cases nothing changes. We sometimes don't realize that the world won't change, that we have to change our way of thinking and think more positive so good things come our way. Not easy with depression as it becomes a way of life. Loneliness is a terrible barrier to happiness. Many people live in cities with millions of people and yet those are the loneliest places in the world. Can go on and on but I won't. Great image to show the mood.

At certain moments of my life, I found myself alone, standing guard against an unseen enemy in the cold cold night when the wind turns the storm when the lightning of heaven angry obliged me by successive rotations of 90 degrees to flee their lights ... yes I understand the despair that can create the loneliness of life ...
