Description
Winter impression, when the frost has taken hold of the country. Where there is still some open water, ducks and other "waterfowls" will gather in numbers. However, the herons present may soon find the place too crowded and agitated for them to fish, and they'll soon look for a better place, maybe going a bit to the south - or another scene on my computer :)
Vue 7.4 Complete render, Poser birds (DAZ). Some modified Vue trees and some Onyx ones, textured in Vue. Levels/colour correction, "lensglare" effect (maybe I overdid it this time), framing & signature in Photoshop.
Thanks for taking a look, comments etc. always welcome and appreciated.
Have a nice day

Fantastic composition. Excellent lighting.
Great scene, I like the haziness and lighting, very nicely done.
Really this is outstanding. This could be a print on someone's wall. I have Vue 7.4 as well. How is it working for you?
Beautiful! You've captured the cold atmosphere perfectly
Marvelous work!
Magnificent winter scene. Makes we want to don winter woolies and skis. My only (very minor) crit is that the reeds are all the same height...
A really convincing winter scene
It's not overdone I don't think. You've really captured that frosty feeling in this one. Poor herons are going to freeze their tailfeathers off!!
Nice composition.. like how the trees are covered in snows where we still see individual limbs.
excellent , and nice lighting shining on the trees. Also nice touch of snow (or frost) on the trees that matches the landscape.
Truly beautiful!
Beautiful work. Very nice scene.
Thanks for your comments so far. For "faroutsider": Actally there are some variations in the height of the reeds, but I agree the appearance is a little to regular anyway. - I noticed it when the full-size render was finished. Well, the scene was very heavy to render, and won't be corrected :) Thanks again. - Lars

excellent atmosphere:) only one critic... the branches on the sides, especially on the left, do not have enough smooth lines...
Super work!
Beautiful vue work..the light frost that covers the frozen parts of the lake looks great!
The cold atmno is perfect and the Landscape with all the snow and frost looks perfect
