Description
When I first started to compose this, it was going to be a cowboy, but then I recalled the famous statue by James Earle Fraser, called "The End Of The Trail" with an Indian and horse in a similar pose. So, I'll give a tip of the hat to Mr. Fraser as an inspiration.
Rendered the desert scene first, added the text, then applied it on a 2D square with the same brick bump map and set it on the wall. After the initial render, I made another with the ground, trashcans and steps white and then erased, painted and cloned between layers to get the snow, in Photoshop.
