Description
This gorgeous guy was captured at the Monte Bird Park & Aviary a short distance from my house. They mainly care for injured birds that cannot be re-introduced to the wild. I am always amazed at how completely silent these huge owls are in flight. (oh, the postwork is mainly meant to block out the background clutter!)
Thank you for stopping by and for your welcome comments and favs on my Warthogs of yesterday!
Have a great weekend all!
Hugs, Carin xx

oh this is just such an beautiful owl!
So beautiful image!
Oh, boy, Oh, boy, I like this guy! I've never really seen a feather pattern like that before either. Can you tell, as a bird fancier, I am enthused?
This is a really great shot. Owls are so interesting. We have some little ones you can here, but I have on got sight of them once in 6 years, and wouldn't you know it....no camera on me at the time.
EXCELLENT SHOT
Wonderful image! :)
Wow what a fabulous owl! Wonderful shot Carin, I love his beautiful feathers, quite different than most I have seen. I'm sorry I am so late, just not up to speed but working on it:-) (((Carin)))
what an exceptional looking owl!!
ohhh he is absolutely gorgeous! excellent shot Carin !
what an amazing bird, his feathers are really special and you did a wonderful portrait
Remarkable work!
Very dignified appearance. He looks like he's wrapped in a blanket with this pose. Ans why do they always look as though they've just put in new contact lenses? An excellent image with fantastic detail.
Very gorgous bird! These things are awesome to watch at any time of day.
What a stunning picture indeed!! Wonderful fellow... Rob
Lovely "portrait"!
