Description
This gorgeous guy was captured at the Monte Bird Park & Aviary a short distance from my house. They mainly care for injured birds that cannot be re-introduced to the wild. I am always amazed at how completely silent these huge owls are in flight. (oh, the postwork is mainly meant to block out the background clutter!)
Thank you for stopping by and for your welcome comments and favs on my Warthogs of yesterday!
Have a great weekend all!
Hugs, Carin xx

Those eyes! Wonderful to see them. Well done, Clive
What a beautiful owl...and yes, it simply amazes me that birds this large can fly with no noise! Silent Wings for sure!
Wonderful bird ! Beautiful shot|
Excellent shot of this Owl! Love the effect, it gives him or her a certain mystique. :)
WOW What a beautiful bird that is. HMMM It reminds of somebody.... !
Really amazing shot. I like the over-the-shoulder pose a lot. Good work with the post work. It did the trick.
Excellent work!!!!!
superlative work!!
I love how your background matches his plumage. A lovely capture.
very impressive lump of bird Carin. The post work was an excellent idea as well.
Spotted Eagle Owl, photographed same.... Just had to get that in, Carin! :) Stellar light/shadow and textural effects in this shot of the wise old bird, as it sits, apparently content, ruminating on the state of the world.
Very beautiful owl and photo!
Wonderful capture, doesn't look to pleased your there
This is a beautiful owl Carin and gorgeous feathers. Great capturer. Dana
Absolutely gorgeous feathers! I zoomed this and blew it up and thoroughly enjoyed all the detail!
WOW! This is gorgeous. I love the way he's dressed! He looks so regal and owlish, but owls have always been somewhat close to my heart. In ancient Greece, I think they were the bringers of wisdom. I might be wrong about that, I'm not up on ancient Greece, but I know Athena had a lot to do with them. But never mind all of that! What a wonderful shot.
Wonderful Owl ,nice shot.
very very fine!
Nice Picture of a Majestic Bird
