Description
Another shot from MooseRidge, taken in late July.
I forgot to ask what kind of tree this was, but given where it was in the garden and what I can tell of the bark, it's probably some sort of exotic birch.
If anybody knows, shout it out!

Wow, this is the worst case of acne I've ever seen. I feel like playing connect-the-dots. This is a really interesting closeup.
I'll go with you on the name for the tree it looks like a birch, it also looks like a great shot.
Fantastic shot! interesting to be blunt! Haven't a clue, m'dear
LOL, maybe, but name or not, it's full of the most interesting detail!!
Nice shot of this interesting tree, wouldn't know what it is though.. well done!!
WOW! I definitely think this is a birch of some sort, but what sort is beyond me. What details and intriguing little convolutions! This tree is a work of natural art, and your photo is perfect. Right on the money. The texture of that bark would be an excellent photoshop brush used to make some really fantastic alien skin!
beautiful!
Yeah I think Birch of some kind. What a beautiful capture.
Himalayan, White....erm sorry I don't know!
No idea...interesting though
Impressive capture!
Looks like a dying tree with bark like that. I don't have a clue but nice picture.
Umm... the Leopard Spotted Tattoo Tree...? (with acne...!) I am stumped, Clive
A birch with hives? Good to see you back to your "auntietk crop". Had to laugh at Marilyn yesterday saying that her crop of the Chicago doorway was partial while you had posted the whole thing:)
It looks like a yellow birch that the sap suckers have riddled with holes to me.
A sick tree - but it makes for a wonderful photo!
it may be a silver birch...
Oh what a fantastic old trunk! I was in stitches of laughter reading through the comments now - hives and piles and acne - poor tree... Great image Dierbaar! Lief jou! xx
I don't know either, but I've seen trees like that in the park here. Great capture of this fascinating pattern!
Wonderful shot, Not sure what it is eaither.
OMG! I haven't seen the strange and mysterious spotted leopard tree since my last trip to the African rainforest. Legend says a person can go insane trying to count the spots. What's it doing in MooseRidge???? :o) CC
interesting and wonderful!!!!
I think it is an erotic birch simple because I want to reach out and touch it.
Fantastic capture Tara!!
It has the shiny bark of a birch and whatever it is ,its got a great texture :o) Mick
Most interesting capture. Realy like a texture of the tree.
Interesting capture! :)
There is a legend that goes with this mysterious tree... it is said it is a fertility tree so I hope you didn't get too close. I hear even if it doesn't affect you, you can become a carrier and spread the disease to others!
I have no idea, but it looks really cool.
A great bark study! I didn't get an ebot for this!
