Description
When Tara and I were in Chicago, we walked all over the city with Mark, Chip,Corey, Dave, Cheri and Juanita. Sometimes all of us, sometimes a different mix of people. It didn't matter, the connections were just so genuine. At any rate, Tara posted a shot of this house today**, and of course, we got VERY different fotos. She got the WHOLE thing (omg, how did THAT happen), while I found parts that caught my eye! This is the particular part that got me at that moment.
**tara's version

HOW interesting to see the two shots!! I still want to go in that door under the stairs.
LOL @ Andrea! Fantastic POV Marilyn! Incredible that you uploaded the same house with such different perspectives! Excellent image! :)
Amazing how the point of focus is different - love the ironwork! Cheers, Clive
I would have been caught by this too; and I would even have cropped it closer to just get the retreating fenceline in the bottom right quarter! Nice capture!
awesome capture warm hugs, Linda
Great shot and am off to view Tara's right now!
this is super cool. love the pov
cool shot
nice one
I can see how this caught your eye! Great shot!
Remarkably different. I'll bet you could construct an illustrated photography lesson based upon photos you all took of the same things from different POVs and completed with different postwork.
Great shot!!!
Old parts of Chi-town!!! NIce perspective M!!!
beautiful colors and image my friend
So much we missed getting there a day later.........sigh! This is an awesome fence, makes me wish we had this instead of the wooden one the kids from the local school like to beat on. I love the point of view here, and am wondering what was going through the residents minds as you all meandered about.
Stellar perspective and repetition most apparent in this shot of the beautifully sculptured iron fence, Maz!
Love the Longhorn rack on that fence! LOL Excellent view. the pov is really an eye catcher.
No one is getting over this iron fence with easy..... Interesting shot. Aloha
I love how you and Tara got so much while you were here...parts of the city I don't see, despite the fact that I live here! This is great. Absolutely fantastic. I love the focus on the fence spikes and those wonderfully red bricks. This is top-notch stuff!
Very interesting capture of the fence, nice POV ...well done Marilyn...
I had to double-check my files to make sure it really was the same house! LOL! This is the other corner, but it IS the same place. Great view!
You have the eye for a great perspective and pov Marilyn :o).. Mick
whoa role reversal, interesting.......... Great shot Marilyn!
love the POV you captured here
Sweet POV Marilyn. It looks like the entire group had so much fun with all these side street tours. Dana
ok, I got a shot of it too—the whole thing plus a bunch of stuff around it—and it doesn't come CLOSE to what you & tara got. I believe you're off to the side of the house, and it's another aspect of your explosive seeing. See, when I studied architecture, we were taught to commune with the whole structure, to see the language of architecture as a 360 degree journey. And so when I see bldgs I tend to look for all the juxtapositions there, of structure, trees & landscaping, etc. So when I see a shot like this, I think: This person shoots like I see. You know that Choo shot of Tara's, with the multiple designs & reflections? Or Andrea's table shots with all the things she puts on it (mirrors, planters, perfumes, etc)? This is what you do with streets & buildings, etc. It's giddily packed, I love the whoosh of the fence tapering away from us from those big bold frontal tentacles (and I like that they're out of focus, you didn't correct that and I'm glad because it makes them almost menacing, like living creatures who are getting too close). And I like their interaction with the white & iron fences in front of it, and all the leaves and of course your strong reds & blues. A real eye feast. I'm gonna have to go there and see this view: I've passed this house a million times & never seen this. I'll show you my version: It'll get you to sleep at night and probably sedate 3/4 of the animals in the region, lol...
