Description

I'm well out of my (Terragen 9.5) comfort zone here, but I'm trying to decide whether to go TG2 or Vue...

TG2 will evolve as has Vue; but, your style and knowledge of Terragen Classic is a plus for TG2. I've tried Vue but haven't been too impressed. In either case, there is a learning curve to gain. You have many sources of help along the way through the Planetside forum. It has helped me very much. Your test is very encouraging and from what I see, you've started the impetus towards some inspirational creativity. Keep on Rob; give yourself and TG2 a chance. You might contact Jay since he has worked with both TG2 and Vue; but, had decided to continue working with TG2. He may share some pros and cons of each of these programs.

Generally it's not the tools it's the artist that makes the difference, but if the tools blunt!!!. If you consider the companies that think Vue is the right choice for landscapes in big budget productions, that choice is made somewhat clearer. They all have pitfalls, but e-on's very pro-active at introducing updates and new versions and the fact you can use it with so many other 3D packages and animate etc., Well! I don't see the competition at all. Nice job on this one, just imagine in a few months what you could produce.

Excellent. I must admit, I've struggled a bit with T2. But it does seem a very capable application. :-)

Whatever application you choose, it'll be your imagination and talent that you bring to it that counts. I can't imagine anyone struggling with the user interface of Vue, so it would come down to your own preferences between apps. A nice start here.

Cool image Rob!....don't know much about either app....but judging by what I've seen others do with those apps....I'd think that Vue would be my choice...it just seems to have more going for it...especially with things like vegetation etc.
