Description
I captured this girl last summer. It is the Streptopelia senegalensis or Laughing dove and is very common all over southern Africa! I thought she could be a friend for Miri - PJ's birdie that she has raised! LOL...
Thank you for popping in and for your valued comments and favs on my previous uploads!
Stay well!

Hmm, can just hear them now! I was looking at some just this morning being blown by the gale here - we so often overlook them because they are so 'common'. Well done, Clive

Is she called laughing dove because she makes a noise like she is laughing? She looks really sweet.
Sooo nice!!
Carin, this is such a lovely capture. A very beautiful dove indeed. I also wonder why it is calling laughing dove? :)

Stellar focus in this macro of the Laughing Dove, shown taking a respite from its chuckles and giggles, Carin.

Very nice coloration compared to our rather dull feathered doves here in my backyard. Nicely done.
