Description
This Pennsylvania Railroad's K4s 4-6-2 'Pacific' #3750 is located at the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania in Strasburg, PA. K4s #3750 is only one of two remaining engines of this type.
A total of 425 engines were built between 1914 and 1928 by PRR Juniata Shops (350) and Baldwin Locomotive Works (75). Engine #3750 was built in 1920. These engines were the premier passenger-hauling steam locomotives from 1914 through the end of steam on the Pennsylvania Rail Road (PRR) in 1957.
Since the PRR had often referred to itself as the Standard Railroad of the World, the K4 has sometimes been referred to as the standard Locomotive of the World.

I love trains...and not only the old ones. I spent hours in the desert in California (Mojave desert) or Nevada (Black Rock desert) waiting for the train to approach...I took fabulous pictures and videos of trains in the distance, sort of waving because of the heat...great memories. And great picture here. Sorry my friend if I've not commented on your photos for too long ; let me tell you I like them.

Great detail. I notice that the replacement instrumentation lines were just strung along the side in a rude manner compared to the originals that were nicely formed! Nice job Sig.
