Description
This is the same Supermarine Spitfire Mk XVII as the previous upload. Still taxiing, just a little closer to the active runway of Carl A. Spaatz Field in Reading, Pennsylvania. It sounded good taxiing, and it sounded really good flying.
Rob, we were actually really lucky, weatherwise. It rained the entire previous day, and it was cold.
This picture was taken on 6 June 2009.
Thank you for viewing, commenting, and favs,

Ooooooooohhhh!! I'm drooling ALL over my keyboard now! NICE ONE, Sig! I was at Flying Legends two years ago, and they had 13 Spitfires! And they all took off together... An entire Squadron..... The Noise!.... Many, many, thanks... Rob.

Love this shot !
Nice angle, looks like you were on the taxiway.
Wonderful shot! great POV!
Whoa, great shot Sig. Love the details in the ZOOM version. Seeing another plane ahead on the taxiway makes me wonder how many low time "boys" during WWII ran into each other while taxiing. Imagine that huge prop chopping off the tail of the guy in front of him. I'm sure it happened more often than anyone wanted to admit.
Liked yesterdays posting but this POV is awesome Sig. Can’t believe the size of the engine compartment. Bill is right, how did they not run into each other on the taxi way. I guess thats why they ziz zag on the way out. Dana
