Description
I found this caterpillar one day as I was riding to work.I am glad that it didn't get squished.I picked it up and brought it home hoping to see what it would look like in it's adult form.I put it in a jar with some leaves, dirt and a stick to climb on.It immediately dug in.It emerged one day,but I didn't get to see it before it flew off.
Thank you for looking.

What a nuisance you missed it!
aww I love your story, wish you could have caught him as well. :)
A very unusual looking caterpillar. A shame you didn't get to see the adult.

To bad you missed the flight Jim! Looks like it could have been a Monarch Butterfly.
