Description
This is a male Blue-faced Meadowhawk. They are about 1 1/4" (30mm) long. I do not start seeing them until late September. This appears to be the primary mating season for them. They are actually hard to see even though they are bright red. It is because they are very slim and so small. I posted a big image so you can get a good look.
The rain held off till late today and my helper and I had a productive day on my house project. I don't think I will be so lucky tomorrow, lol.
