Description
Hello all, Weatherman said were going to have rain again today; I don’t like to complain about the rain, and I know one of these days I’ll be praying for rain but three days of sun just wasn’t enough after two plus weeks of rain. I guess it’s hard to be content and satisfied in our current situations; you know the grass always looks greener and all that; wait a minute, surely I’m the only one that feels this way come on now admit it some of you have this same problem. Not that it matters much what I think, LOL there is a higher power that controls these sort of things so from this point, I well make the best of the rain and greet it with a smile. I thank God for the rain that I know someone somewhere needs and look forward to what I pray will be a nice weekend. Ok off my soapbox, another shot from the past taken of a large thistle plant in a wild flower sanctuary at Wintersmith Park in Ada Oklahoma. The two butterflies are Gulf Fritillaries and on the middle flower at the top a bumblebee. Have a great day and thanks for stopping by and for any comments you should care to leave.
Thanks so much for the favs. on my last post, I really do appreciate each one of you and your encouraging words, each of your beautiful works of art an inspiration.

Butterflies from all over the world like thistles I think. Nice shot.
This is the second Fritillary butterfly posting I've seen today...Daver2112 had the other one. All well done with perfect subjects to begin with... I've had the same grumble with the weather around here and have been swimming around in my files too. Got a few shots of fall colors yesterday and it clouded up again right in the middle of my shoot:)
Zoom is really good..great sharp detail and colors..very nicely done...
beautiful!!

excellent shot!
What's wrong with rainy shots? I like them! This is a great photo, thanks for sharing
Fantastic shot!!! Beautiful
Outstanding balance in this taking the eye from one side to the other, sweeping over the tender pastel blooms.
Send us your rain, posthaste! The stuff is but a myth around this drought-ravaged area. Tons of dynamic colors, objects and textures in this beautiful sun-kissed capture!
without all that annoying rain you wouldn't have these lovely flowers to show us... think of it that way..
Wonderful composition and capture. I love the strong blue showing through the green. Hope you see more blue skies soon.
The idea of saving these happy summer days in photos, is so you have them on the rainy cold gray ones. This is so cheerful, it's hard to take your complaint too seriously. :D
Excellent and very beautiful shot. Wonderful colors, light and fantastic DOF.
