Call a tree dermatologist, quick!!!
Captured 10/1/09, early in the morning, within walking distance of my hackneyed haven.
A face only a mother can love. The arboreal equivalent of the Elephant Man. Perfect for the Halloween season.
Ta-ta, and thankx for stopping by.

Some serious tree trauma here....and try saying tree trunk tumors really fast..
KNARLY is the word. And some great woodworking can be done with the wood from such tough old trees. Well caught Harry.
Fantastic photos, I love such trees. Great details and textures.
My dad used to look for trees like this (of sorts)...he carved allot...made canes and all that....mostly Indian crafts (war clubs...)...this is totally awesome looking...!!!
Fantastic find! Very interesting details!
I am sure the squirrels love it though.. gives them places to hide and play
Gnarly and knobby!
Super shots!
now that's a character of a tree, Harry, great shots!
That's amazing. I can see all kinds of different things in that tree trunk.
That is one strange looking tree trunk. My eyes keep getting pulled to where the bark is missing and whatever that is that looks kinder like the top of a human skull sticking out. Happy Halloween! And great photo shots.
Funny - I have a mulberry tree in my backyard with a very similar skin condition... It doesn't seem to bother the tree in any way... Love these images... Well done Harry! :)
A tree with it's very own door knobs! Nature's way of putting up with all sorts of bothersome issues, I suppose. Very interesting. I think you may or may not have moved the newspaper from pic 1 to pic 2.
Gnarly capture. Great shots and angles and wow yep perfect for Halloween.
Great knobly trunk! Wonderful for Halloween! Lovely captures!
Well thats certainly different..... Attractive.. Not a word I'd use, but natural.. Excellent colours though.. Well done! Rob
