Description
Captured way back in August of 2005, early in the morning, at various and sundry spots around town.
Pictures 4 & 5 display two different POVs of the same hydrant, apparently in dire need of a good scouring or replacement. Possibly the result of too many dog visits.
Okay, I'm aware that I've been getting a lousy response in the number of viewers and comments on this particular subject matter, but, as fate would have it, the dam has broken and the variety of hydrants come spewing forth, unstoppable, day after day.
Ergo, these are dedicated to those that appreciate this form of utilitarian art.
Also, my ebot receiving is practically nil, so don't feel offended if I don't show up on your gallery with a comment.
Ta-ta, and thankx for clicking on.

diff types of Fire hydrants. guess they was put there at diff times too
Fantastic collection and collage each one a beautiful capture of it on, very nice work!!
Very nice captures and collage Harry. I remember some years ago, when the fad was to "paint up" the hydrants.. ie: red, white and blue to resemble the flag, people, animals etc. Too bad they still don't have those around (at least not around here).
Love the orange one.....and it's a nifty collage. Personally, if I was in charge of painting these, I would paint them turquoise!
Not to worry..the local canine population alway appreciate a good leg exercise machine....
LOL @ Frankie96... I love the top one... very neat... The bottom two seems to be in bad need of some paint! Nice collage Harry! :)
I like the yellow one in the middle ... it LOOKS like a fire nozzle!
I like the first one. Not only does it have a slight variation of shade of yellow in its caps (showing good fashion sense), but it appears to be levitating off of its base. That's quite unusual in a fire hydrant. Great shots!
Fabulous collage Harry, myself I like the bottom version. Cool avatar btw!
OMG, the top yellow one, I found some here. On my way home from work! I didn't have my camera, I am not allowed to have it at work and I carpool. I did instantly think of you and Tara though.
