Description
Last weekend some friends and I went to the Michigan Renaissance Festival, and some of us rather "let our hair down" a bit... But that's another story for another time. Each day the festival has a huge parade of the cast and representatives of all of the merchants that begins at 12:30 and circles the entire festival grounds. This year, Her most Royal Highness, Queen Elizabeth Glorianna not only sports a newly-made dress (hand-made by someone I have the honor of having met several times, now) but also rode this splendid and very well-behaved horse. I must say that she does look very regal don't you think?
Thanks for taking a look, hopefully I'll have time to get caught back up with all of your galleries, now!

Pretty good. Better than the real thing,I suspect
Excellent shot.
Awesome capture, We would have loved to have msde it this year. We will next year. This is really cool. Great shot.
WOW!! I have to admit your queen is much more beautiful than ours at Bristol! The dress is very becoming, she looks every bit the queen she portrays. I really wanted so badly to make it over there this year, and the grounds look incredible, permanent buildings add so much to the ambiance. I hereby promise that we will make this fair in 2010, I was hoping to see your handy work in person this year, but we had a lot of out of the ordinary circumstances to deal with in early August and on. Fantastic capture, thank you so much for sharing and taunting us with it!
Beautiful! And yes, quite regal looking on her trusty steed. (I, of course, being the consummate horse lover, am much more personally taken with the horse..grin). And do you find that she bears a striking resemblance to a very young Madonna, only much, much softer overall? It struck me immediately really. The dress..well..from a woman's perspective, is to utterly die for. Lovely feminine sleeves, fitted bodice, and my, but that delicious color. Wonderful capture, Michael. And, again, thanks for sharing this.
Wonderfully framed and a very beautiful regal queen!
Very nice scene. Great capture!
She is VERY pretty!!! David
SUPERB & NEAT SHOT
Cool, great shot!
More superb work...I can actually hear music with this. Great stuff! I don't know why, but I'm in the mood to hear that 14th Century Salterello played by Dead Can Dance on one of their early albums. This image just makes me think of that, and I love the light! Fantastic work!
Looks like a great day!
Very much the royal personage. Fine shot!
She looks very nice!
