Description
I thought me gallery needed some color, thus my choice of upload today. This is a Macaw and I have captured him/her at a bird sanctuary not far from my house last summer. He was sitting right next to me and I was actually a bit wary of that beak pecking at my camera lens!!!
Thank you for your kind comments and favs on my upside down upload of Kayla yesterday!
Stay well!
Hugs, Carin xx

...and color you have in abundance! What a way to start your next 300 Carin. Very colorful and clear close up.
Oh, well, you know how I LOVE color--and red just happens to be my favorite--so WOW--I do love this one!!
WOW... that is one CLOSE up you've taken. This beauty seems too cheerful to peck the lens! Nicely done!
AMAZING color, great portrait!!
He/she is such a beautiful vivid colour, I wouldn't like a nip from that beak.
Fantastic colour and very beautiful bird! Nice shot!
Excellent shot and perfect title. Fantastic details.
great!
fantastic shot!
their colors are soo vivid and you capture that extremely well!
After reading about those beaks, some years back, I decided I would not chance an encounter. I stay well clear of them all - even the ones people say are so tame and loving...I also know how they are like people and can take an instant dislike to something in a heartbeat. And they are better than elephants at never forgetting...and they rarely forgive. :-) Stunning detail and you are a brave girl!
Vivid colors and textures in this simply superlative portrait of the rather morose looking Macaw, Carin! The beak does appear to be somewhat threatening at that.
Stunning color this bird has,.....WOW!!!!
Wow, what a red head! I'd have been very wary:) A Macaw always has that old sage look with a little bit of madness thrown in to keep you off balance.
A superb capture and so lovely and bright.
Gorgeous color and awesome details carin. That is one nasty looking beak. Dana
A gorgeous capture, and that red makes for a stunning image. A beautiful bird, and a wonderful photograph.
