Description
Sitting in a Seattle's Best in Chicago, I saw framed photographs on the wall. It slowly sank in that what I was looking at were images that were shot in Seattle, presumably to better set the mood. The photographs were all framed with glass fronts, which made reflection shots inevitable. The window across the store looked out over the Water Tower, an iconic Chicago landmark.
It was such a kick to get shots of Chicago reflected in photographs of Seattle. That really appealed to my sense of the bizarre!
Nothing says "Seattle" like coffee, and nothing says "Chicago" like the Water Tower.

I'm still so tired I can hardly see straight! It's all I can do to keep up with the thumbnails, never mind opening images and commenting. Eventually things will get back to normal, but in the meantime, don't expect much from me!

Define normal! Great shot and very ironic view! It appeals to me as well!
What fun this is, and how great that you had the double benefit!
Double the fun--we found all kinds of things sitting in that place!!
That's a great find! Very cool multilayer image!
Well seen and a great mood created by it all - levels to see. Do not have too much coffee to keep you awake! Cheers, Clive
Very tricky shot Tara full of wonders and realy have to observe a picture to see what is there.
That's pretty cool :)
Oh gosh - you gals have outdone yourselves with the most amazing and extraordinary images! Well done Dierbaar! :)
There is so much to see in here, quite astonishing to find so many things in one image.
It really comes out enlarged. Nicely done.
IN three levels. That is amazing. What a great photo this is. Well Tara I can easily understand you must have more rest :-)))
Great way to connect the two cities. I completely missed this famous Water Tower. I'll get to see it another time:) Agree with Andrea...so much to see. But then we've come to expect that from you as you always see beyond the average.
very nice!
yes, this is a great shot!
excellent reflection work
Beautiful and ironic! Great capture!
Cool reflections here Tara!
so much moody
Proves there is a photo op in most anything...nicely seen...and colorful..
How creative! You have a marvelous eye to see the potential in this.
Wonderful reflections! :)
Splendid composition and colors my friend
LOL that is so ironic in so many ways. After all you can't make Seattle's coffee in Chicago without water. Great reflection shot.
what an intriguing pic!!
Great reflections,
Arrrggghhh, another chapter of the weekend we had missed. I wanted so badly to not have to wait until Saturday morning to head down, but I had Friday night to deal with, the last goodbye to my friends and family from G.E. This is a cool shot! It is beginning to sound like we missed a whole bunch. I didn't want to leave Saturday night, just wanted the time to stop moving forward, for just a bit. I'm sooo glad we made the trip down as it is, and the time we all spent together was incredible, thank you M'lady for that!
fantastic picture!!!!
You know Tara there was a time in my life when I would have thrown a shot like this away because it wasn't perfect. But I know better now. I think the artistic license you have taken with this capture is just this, artistic and original and I like it!
Wonderful reflections! :)
The water Tower... i think I got it in my View From the top.. shot... but don't quote me on that! lol Brilliant idea and great shot... I know the worn out feel, Tara! lol Rob
