Description
Captured 9/15/09, around 11 AM, from within the confines of my condominium complex.

Tunde has voiced her disappointment at the perpetual lack of any clouds and movement to photograph in her general area, which can make picture taking a bit boring after a while, so to lift her spirits, and/or make her envious, I'm posting this one, which I feel is rather striking when it comes to atmospheric subject matter. As you can see, I was aiming directly into the sun, which makes for keen contrasts and silhouetting.
Clouds are always neat to shoot, because they are constantly moving and changing shape, especially after a storm.
I took several shots of similar clouds at the time, and maybe should have created a collage for a grand tour de force, but just to skip the usual "fave" competition we have with collages, I felt this one was appealing enough to stand on its own at this particular posting. I promise you a collage next time.
Toodles, and thankx for the peek.

AWESOME! I love...LOVE...cloud shots...this one is super! Great catch!
What a lovely show of the sun's rays ready burst out of the clouds! I like the glimpse of rooftops and tree leaves to add interest and perspective. Definitely a stand alone image! Love it and bet she will too, Harry.
You've succeeded in your objective Harry. I'd like to see more single shots from you. It lets the observer concentrate on your most outstanding shot of the day. Purely my opinion:-)
Clouds are such fun to watch and I take a lot of cloud pics...but rarely keep any of them. Yours is lovely.
I've had some beautiful clouds the last month. Sometimes frustratingly beautiful as I was driving (with my mother in the car who, though a wonderful mom, would not have appreciated photo stops) or I was at work without free time or camera. I did take some pictures of clouds that I have to go through and see if any are worthy. This is beautiful! I like your capture of the sun setting the clouds aglow!
This is what I need Harry, can you pls send it a cross the ocean? Ty. I Love the purple sky, well that we don't have either..lol. Good stuff my fiend!
Some very nice SoCal clouds...and in a very distinctive colored sky..
Beautiful sky shot. I like the colors.
Wonderful sky and clouds with the sun pushing to break through! Well done Harry! :)
That lilac sky is a wow!
You're right about this Harry, it's a stand alone image for sure. Nice work, I like the trippy colors!
I keep telling myself I need more cloud/sky shots, because they are always changing, never the same ... its sweet of you to send babuci some clouds. :)
Wow, things must have changed down south for the sky to be purple...darn that smog, eh? Clouds are something we have LOTS of here, though; edges of clouds are not as common, usually it's wall to wall clouds. I'm sure Tunde will be happy for this bit of shade!
