Ultrafractal 5.02
Hi again, y'all! Ok, so this one is just a baby compared to my last example of self-flagellation - lol - ONLY 342 layers this time, in 10 Groups. Love the new grouping feature in UF5 - and it also seems that using them lowers the amount of RAM UF gorges itself on. A full third of the layers are used on the dome thingie - it's something that I'd made for a collab with Keith Mackay that we never finished and it's taken years to find an excuse to use it somewhaere.
Actually, I'd started this one b4 I got all hung up on my last post in this series - http://www.renderosity.com/mod/gallery/index.php?image_id=1941149&member - I really got inspired by the vibe of the beginning of this one as it just seemed to give off a primitive Kampuchian (Cambodian) vibe to me and I'd just read Nat. Geographic that had a thing on Angkor Wat that month. One of the top places on my "bucket list" - hope I get to go there....someday.

Beautiful but also frightening because,this made me think of the rise and fall of civilizations ,and that one day our cities may resemble this .Rick your hard work and patience payed off .

Those birds must be worrisome if you can now find a mere 342 layers. Tell them to stop flapping about and get down to some serious business. I do like the dome and the mountain behind, and the rising bird acts as an nice link. Maybe the dome is a little too central but losing a little on the right side would correct this (if you can bear to lose a little of your industry, of course).
