Description
A pink and orange dahlia in the process of unfolding at MooseRidge Gardens on Whidbey Island.
Memory is a funny thing ...
I've always loved this color combination. I remember drawing a car (for whatever reason) when I was in 6th grade, and decorating it with deep pink and orange. It seemed so bold! I didn't know about dahlias then ... :) Seeing this, I feel vindicated for my outrageous color choices all those years ago!

Spectacular colours, beautifully caught! (I enjoyed the party, too!)

This is a gorgeous flower and the colors are just beautiful. I can remember when some color combinations were just NOT allowed; guess this dahlia didn't get the memo!!

Nature does do some 'outrageous' colour schemes at times - yet she get it sooo right! Great compo, Clive
Add a deep wine red to your pink and orange and see how gorgeous that is!!! I love the image and the colors are glorious Tara!!! Well done dear friend! :)

Wonderful Work!!!
wonderful shot!
Stellar in all aspects of photography.
No color combination is truly outrageous. What is hideous to one person is gorgeous to another. Color combos are like the saying "One man's junk is another man's treasure." I always put shades of green and purple together during various projects, they are found side by side in nature. I look at it then that combination can't be wrong then. No matter how many people say they clash. You know I have had an equally amount of people say they loved it. This shot I love and I am sure the car was awesome looking.
lovely lighting is on the flower
