Description
My flower books did not come on vacation with me so I going to depend on one of my RR friends to help me out with the name of this flower.
The consensus is that this is a Dahlia. Thank you all.
Thanks for stopping by, taking a peak and for all your previous comments and favs.

Nice find. Some of the best photos are right in front of us and we just miss em or don't take the time for a few more steps to find them. ;-)
Beautiful capture!! The color is amazing. :)
Not sure Dana as I dont have green fingers but could it be a dahlia? A lovely bright shot!
Looks like a dahlia.
Beautiful capture Dana, I'd go down the Dahlia route too.
I vote dahlia, Dana; and a lovely shot it is!
WOW I was thinking Dahlia, afraid not up on flowers names, just think they are beautiful, super find Dana.
Well Dad, I still have most of the books still in boxes from the flood, lol. Have to agree with the majority on Dahlia. Nice take.
lovely capture my friend x
DAHLIA IN a field??? COOOL
Nice shot as you know by now its a Dahlia, one possible reason for it being in a field is that someone dumped some garden rubbish, it only needs a tiny piece of tuber to grow, a lot of garden plants pop up on roadside banks in the UK as in the past councils used topsoil from house extensions to build up roadside banks.
wonderful shot! yes, i believe it's a dalhia!
Dahlia is a popular bulb to plant here in NH. A variety of colors, most tend to be red or pink. Excellent photo
wonderful picture!!!
brilliant!!!
I agree with dalia although I'm not an expert. :-) I can say with all certainty, this is a fabulous shot. It oozes sunshine and good times.
