copyright©amberswann.com,2002 Hello, my name is Shawn Everett McPherson, working name, Everett Sytles, and basically, Bomaw - is about me. About my escape from California following my divorce from my now, ex-wife. At the young age of eighteen, I ran away from home, away from Wisconsin, away from my role and responsibility as the oldest son, away from my overbearing father, and at times, my passive mother - who let too much happen. I tried - I really did, I tried to be all my father expected of me. He was so hard to live with after his return from Vietnam, something happened with him when I turned 12 years old, I don't know what. All of a sudden, I went into training. I was to learn to fight - not just any kind of fighting, but the kind of fighting where I would not lose. My responsibility, was to take care of my younger brothers and sisters; was to take care of the house in my parents absense; was to make sure that in my father's absense - his home was safe, his family was safe - at all costs - it would be safe ... even at the cost - of my own life. I was not to fail. My pain index was brought up to an endurance level that I would eventually be able to take anything any tried to dish out to me. If I could take the pain my father dished out, I could surely take pain elsewhere. To keep my father off my back, I did as he bid me. It was as if I joined in his army; his troops? Me. And multiple beatings later, multiple fights at school later, and after having to deal with my middle siblings, my little brother Jake's, and little sister Kathy-Ann's mission to make my job, my responsibility even tougher - at the age of 18, I had enough - woke up one morning, and took off - removed all my savings from the bank, and headed off to California. There, I lived a life, that were my father, mother to hear of it, would bring the family ultimate shame. I tried to clean it up, married, had a daughter, and now, I'm divorced. What a mess. Now, at the age of 44, I've had enough, it's time to go back home. Informing the parents, my dad found me a nice piece of property in a little Wisconsin town not far from them.
