Description
Yellow water lily from the Japanese garden at MooseRidge.
Can you tell from the title what caught my eye about this shot? All the fancy little things light does ... I never get tired of it!
For all you bug lovers out there ... I have to say, most of the time I see a bug-on-a-flower shot and think, "pretty flower ... shame about the bug being in the way!" (I am not in love with insect life, as you may already know!) This flower had all sorts of little bugs crawling all over it. I took 'em out. I tell you this because otherwise you would never know how easy it is to remove unsightly bugs from your pretty flower pictures! LOL!

Your capture is quite wonderful!Your title is fabulous!
Pretty, pretty work... Wonderful image Tara!
Nice non- buggish lily. Great shot, very beautiful. I have yet to see a waterlily in person.
Nice shot, Taking the bugs out only works if you can reach or have some waders.
Great work! The tension captured by the light reflection around the lillies is fantastic.
belle fleur, belle photo.
I can see why the light caught your attention! The light and water surface tension makes little "saucers" for the leaves... well that is what I see... but don't go by me, I had a total on 7 hrs sleep this weekend!!!
Thats SO beautiful!
its so pretty ! Ive never seen yellow lillies just white ones
lol, I got an email from those bugs, they were pissed! ("You call her a friend???") Well it must've taken you forever to remove them, and it's a beautiful picture—the light is almost breathtaking in spots, it's so delicate and luminous and quiet. And your crop gave us the flower bursting in the lower quarter. You can see why Monet painted these kinds of plants so much—they call the artist's eye. Gorgeous.
Great shot...nice looking lily
Beautiful flower and I like the lighting on the water, outstanding capture!!!!!!!!!!!!!
