I see in this a driving rain and also the soft patter on the roof. The ancient dust that so pervades oil painting is washed away and a modern crips bright style can be imagined. (It just started to rain outside) Amazing presciense!

the only mistake you did here was the scanning... what a piece of total senseful meaning.
